To have an effective argumentative essay, paper or really anything, you have to anticipate an opponent's view. What will they say to counter your points? For example, if I said Apple is better than Android because the platform is easier to use, and someone else said, but xxx app is easier to use on Android phones, how are you going to counter that to prove that Apple is better?
