Heres the question https://snag.gy/XnFNQv.jpg

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

can you find the equation for both of the lines?

OpenStudy (mathmate):

Yes, you can find the equation of the lines first, but you still need the following step. Here's a quick check you can do, \(if\) the intention of the question is not to find the equation of the lines. Whenever the shaded area is above a solid line, we use y\(\ge\)..... Whenever the shaded area is below a solid line, we use y\(\le\)..... The shaded area is _below_ both lines, so which system would you choose?

OpenStudy (mellamokatie):

So then is it C @mathmate ?

OpenStudy (mathmate):

Correct! Well done. Both inequalities have y\(\le\)... which correspond to the shaded area below both lines. To avoid confusion, I suggest in the future you rewrite the answer and not use the letters. This way, you will have a better retention of the answer, and how it was obtained.

OpenStudy (mellamokatie):

Only well done because of you!!!! Thank you!
