Cone volume

OpenStudy (errinss):

pooja195 (pooja195):

\[\huge~\rm~\bf~V=(3.14)(r^2)(\frac{ h }{ 3})\] We have the givens: h=10 Diameter=14 Knowing the diameter what is the radius (hint: r=d/2)

OpenStudy (errinss):

R=7

pooja195 (pooja195):

Good so you would plug it into the formula and solve :) \[\huge~\rm~\bf~V=(3.14)(7^2)(\frac{ 10}{ 3})\]

OpenStudy (errinss):

\[V=(3.14)(7^2)(\frac{ 10 }{ 3 })\]

pooja195 (pooja195):

^yep solve it :)

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

It's a cylinder, not a cone. Don't divide h by 3, remove the 3.

OpenStudy (sshayer):

correct ,it is a cylinder

pooja195 (pooja195):

\[\huge~\rm~\bf V=(3.14)(r^2)h\] \[\huge~\rm~\bf V=(3.14)(7^2)(10)\] You can do the solving from here.

OpenStudy (errinss):

heh...whoops blonde moment............
