I'm trying to analyze "Is the Pathetic Fallacy True?" by Elizabeth Brewster for English. I don't quite understand what the situation or context is of the poem? I just I have ideas but I don't think any of them fit.
I think the theme is childhood wonder, and how as you get older you kinda come full circle and return to that almost wondrous awe that children look on the world with. Then as we get older we are forced to grow up and pushed out of this wonder. Then we almost spend our lives wishing we could go back to the wonderful world, where everything was alive. How off base am I? HELP!
