OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

The minutes hand goes from 10 minutes to 60 minutes. That is the same as the minutes hand going from 2 o'clock to 12 o'clock.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

From 3 o'clock to 6 o'clock, from 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock, and from 9 o'clock to 12 o'clock, each of these intervals makes a right angle, so each one is 90 degrees. From 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock it's also a 90 degree angle. That means each hour is 90/3 = 30 degrees. From 2 o'clock to 3 o'clock it's 30 degrees. From 3 o'clock to 12 o'clock it's 3 * 90 degrees. Add the two degree measures above to find your answer.
