Help

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

What is the surface area of a box with each side being 4

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

no

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

kinda

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

6a*2 or something

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum12):

To find the surface area you have to multiply the length (L) times the width (W)

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

but this is a box, 3 dimensional

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

what about the H

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

I got 192in

rishavraj (rishavraj):

192 ??? @ZootedYoungin how ??

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum12):

im sure that you have to multiply the length, width and height for volume, not surface area

rishavraj (rishavraj):

6 a^2 = 6(4)^2 = 6*16 = 92

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

wait its 92?

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

i got 96 and my VS teacher said to do all 6 sides

rishavraj (rishavraj):

oops 96

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

she said i only did 3

rishavraj (rishavraj):

my bad ... typo :P

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

I cant move on in VS until its right

rishavraj (rishavraj):

@radar lol kinda baffled ..... its 96 for sure ??

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

so it would be 4*4 (1 side)(16) + 4*4 + 4*4 + 4*4 + 4*4 + 4*4

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

Thats what the google calculator said for finding the SA of a cube

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

The struggle is real.

rishavraj (rishavraj):

@ZootedYoungin its 96 -_-

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

Dude my math teacher keeps saying its not

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum12):

this site helps with with math a lot, it might help you... http://www.wikihow.com/Find-the-Surface-Area-of-a-Box

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

its kind getting me frustrated

OpenStudy (salsabyl):

It's 16x6 = 96

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

wtf

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

this is getting annoying

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

failed the assignment twice with that answer

OpenStudy (salsabyl):

Is the side measure 4 ?

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

the SA of a rectangular prism/ box is SA = 2bw + 2bh + 2wh

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

that equals 192

OpenStudy (zootedyoungin):

and yea
