Please help, I don't understand a question. Answer in red

OpenStudy (monteskellie):

What is the question?

OpenStudy (cinnamonbun):

For a game of bingo balls numbered 1 through 75 are mixed in a bucket. A ball is chosen, kept out of the bucket, and another ball is chosen. P=(multiple of 10 and multiple of 10)

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so perhaps the question is asking what is the probability of getting a ball that is a multiple of 10 on the 1st draw, and then getting another ball that is a multiple of 10 on the 2nd draw so what is the probability of a multiple of 10 on the 1st draw? then the 2nd draw, the number of balls is reduced since no replacement. and also the multiples of 10 are also reduced then I'd expect you need to multiply the 2 probabilities for the answer... but that's just a guess.

OpenStudy (cinnamonbun):

Pretty smart guess! That's what it shows in the answer key, I just didn't understand why it is reduced to 6 for the second draw ^_^

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well if there are 7 multiples of 10 in the 1st draw 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 so you have 7/75 if one is selected on the 1st draw there are only 6 to choose from and only 74 in total P(multiple of 10, multiply of 10) = 7/75 x 6/74
