Two basketball players, A and B, both have been playing for 5 years in the same league and both have been averaging 15 points per game. Player A’s scores have a standard deviation of 6 points per game while player B’s scores have a standard deviation of 4 points per game. Which player should be considered more consistent? I say that because player A has more points, this player should be considered more consistent due to their higher standard deviation score. is it right?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Standard deviation is a measure of how spread out the scores are. Smaller spread = more consistency.

OpenStudy (pphalke):

then for that It would be player B right?
