Lets look at each of these closely. A hyperbole is known as a figure of speech meant for exaggeration or either emphasis. Irony in writing can mean the use of words to express something other than and especially the opposite of the literal meaning. This can also be sarcastic and be a pretense of ignorance. Literal language derives from something of obvious and literal. Better described it also is an obvious or non-figurative sense of a word. A metaphor is saying that something is like something or akin to it by form of using it as an example or to better explain the topic at hand. With these being better explained, I think we can safely eliminate at least one to help narrow down our options. I say we take out A. This is a factual sentence and there is nothing exaggerative in its meaning. What is another one we could eliminate? ^.^ @danielannx3
i think is irony?
Is this what your picking or what your eliminating from the options?
what im picking am i correct?
Well, not really. If irony is the use of words to express something other than and especially the opposite of the literal meaning, then this would read differently. There is nothing opposite going on here, and all of whats said relates to itself. So, we could eliminate that probably.
ohh now i get what you mean
So, we have two options left. C and D. What do you think is another one we could eliminate among-st those pesky two?
metaphor we take out
Good job! Thats right! So we are left with C, and I think that may be our best bet for an answer! :)
thank you so much :)
