@ElisaNeedsHelp can u check the 3 last ones

It's actually, "Me gustan los zapatos rojos." I'm not sure how to explain it but I think when you like or it is more than one thing then the word ends with an "an" or "en" etc. Basically: If the items are plural, then the verb will be plural. = gustan (plural) In the case of the third sentence, "gusta" is correct with the sentence's format, but it's a complicated explanation so you might want to read this really quick. :) http://www.spanishdict.com/answers/168518/gusta-vs.-gustan

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

ok so the second one would also be gustan?

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

The second one is correct with "gusta"

OpenStudy (superhelp101):

oh ok. i see thanks!

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

It's like the 3rd one :D you're welcome

As ElisaNeedsHelp mentioned this verb is conjugated based on several things. On one side based on the time (present, past, etc). Also based on the subject (I, you, he/she, etc), but also based on the Direct Object, which is the object is being "liked" let say. So, if it is a single object then it is "gusta" the singular form of the verb, and if it is more than one object you must use the plural form (gustan). I think that usually is just adding and "n" termination. But I'm not sure it applies "always". Examples: duele -> duelen , cansa -> cansan, I cannot think right now of a counter example.
