OpenStudy (kaekaee):

i REALLY NEED HELP GUYS :( a triangle has vertices of (-3,2), (1,-1), and (-3,-1). what are the vertices of the image produced by applying the translation (x,y) -> (x-5, y+2)?

OpenStudy (kinged):

Just apply.

OpenStudy (kinged):

Appy these trans. to the given vertices.

OpenStudy (kaekaee):

And how to do that? :(

OpenStudy (kinged):

Take first vertex (-3,2). Do this (-3-5,2+2)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

This is simpler than you think. You need to understand what the transformation means. (x,y) -> (x-5, y+2)
