zarkam21 (zarkam21):

A vertical line has a run which is A. 1 B. zero C. undefined D. -1

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Vertical slopes are undefined.

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

I submitted "undefined" and it was incorrect

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

Well there needs to be one answer :/

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

That's where I'm stuck

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

-1/0 is -1, I honestly don't know the rules behind it, but I remember it shocking me when I was younger, because I was always taught that it had an infinite slope.

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

I know but it was incorrect when I submitted that, thats why I came here to see what other people think

OpenStudy (jadeishere):

Vertical slopes are undefined, yes, but the slope itself is explained as -1/0, the negative reciprocal of a horizontal slope of 0

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Oh sorry it says "RUN" Slope is rise over run. Stupid worded question. The run is zero.
