GIVING MEDAL

OpenStudy (danielannx3):

Student A silently reads a famous speech. Student B watches a video of the original speech being delivered to a crowd. How would the students' experiences differ? The text would allow Student A to understand the emotions of the speaker and the response of the audience. The video would be distracting. Students B would not fully appreciate the speaker's words and emotions. The video would allow Student B to hear the emotion in the speaker's voice and feel the impact the words had on the crowd. The words of the speech are the same in both cases. There would be no difference in the students' experiences.

The third one. When listening to a powerful speaker, or any speaker in general, you get to fully and truly understand where they're coming from and how they see what they wrote. It helps to understand the emotions of the speaker, and how the crowd had responded to what the speaker had said. When reading a speech, you don't get any of this.
