Describe a recent situation where you multiplied signed numbers
@Monkeyboom
ill give it my best shot :)
ok
What numbers? i.e. Are they real, Imaginary, Complex, Hypercomplex, quaternions, octonions, sedenions, tessarines, coquaternions, biquaternions, or p-adic numbers?
I dont know
I was trying out a new calculator. Is that a nice situation?
kinda
Do you mean numbers with a + or - before them? @openstudygirl2
- can imply a deficit. You can for instance say you had to pay for some drinks costing $1.50 each. A debit from your balance would read as be -1.50 x no. of drinks.
Another example, let's say temperature of soup drops at a rate of -6 degrees per minute for the first 3 minutes. You can calculate the total temperature drop. Vector calculations eg. accleration and velocity also utilise signed numbers to indicate direction.
But these aren't situations where "you" did the multiplication. Try more "personal".
