In what way did an increased skull and brain size affect hominid evolution from early ancestors to modern humans? a) They became less reliant on vision and more reliant on all of their senses. B)They became less reliant on tools and less reliant on social interactions. c) The larger brain size increased, causing their overall body size to decrease. D) The gestation and infant care period increased to allow the brain to develop.
I think D is the answer. None of the other answers make sense. We will always be reliant on our vision, we need tools and social interaction (im sure social interaction increased), and brain size and body size are not causal. So D, gestation and infant care period increased to allow the brain to develop is the best answer.
