MEDAL +FAN, HELP ASAP Based on the diagram, match the trigonometric ratios with the corresponding ratios of the sides of the triangle. c/b= b/a= b/c= c/a= cos B tan C sin B tan B

OpenStudy (phi):

how far did you get ?

OpenStudy (alexa):

opposite/adjacent adjacent/hypotenuse adjacent/opposite opposite/hypotenuse

OpenStudy (alexa):

tan cos tan cos

OpenStudy (phi):

I would look at the triangle and figure out what forms cos B ? any idea ?

OpenStudy (phi):

yes, cos = adjacent/hypotenuse if you "stand at angle B" what side is the adjacent side ? which is the hypotenuse ?

OpenStudy (alexa):

c/b = tan C b/c = tan B

OpenStudy (alexa):

NVM ON SECOND ONE

OpenStudy (phi):

ok

OpenStudy (phi):

your two tans look good. two more to figure out. what is cos B ? any idea ?

OpenStudy (alexa):

nvm my mistake there is a tan B c/a = cos B b/a= sin B

OpenStudy (phi):

if you stand at B, you can "touch" the adjacent side and the hypotenuse (imagine standing in that corner)

OpenStudy (phi):

yes

OpenStudy (phi):

c/b = tan C b/a= sin B b/c = tan B c/a = cos B

OpenStudy (alexa):

Thank ye phi!!
