OpenStudy (abbles):

When you are asked to solve a polynomial equation, are you supposed to find the zeros?

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

yes

OpenStudy (abbles):

Here is the question: Solve each polynomial equation. 15x^3 - 119x^2 - 10x + 16 = 0 I factored it to: (x - 8)(5x+2)(3x-1) Do I need to do anything further? State the zeros?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Yes, because solving for actual solutions would be the zeroes. Otherwise all you have done is just factored the polynomial.
