OpenStudy (mathguy5):

How to find the line slope? Do I just find the slope of the 2 points listed? http://prntscr.com/blx23t

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

When the equation is in the form y = ax + b the slope will equal "a"

OpenStudy (_citrus_):

It's asking for the slope of the line right? So wouldn't the person use rise over run y2-y1/x2-x1

OpenStudy (mathguy5):

I got -2

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

citrus - yes that is the way to do it. My method (using calculus) is the easier way.

OpenStudy (_citrus_):

Oh yea true my bad :)

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Citrus - no need to be sorry. Doing it by the rise over run method works - especially when you don't know calculus.
