OpenStudy (idani):

What is a quartic function with only the two real zeros given? x = -4 and x = -1 A. y = x^4 + 5x^3 + 5x^2 + 5x+4 B. y = x^4 - 5x^3 - 5x2^ - 5x - 4 C.y = -x^4 + 5x^3 + 5x^2 + 5x+4 D. y = x^4 + 5x^3 + 5x^2 + 5x-5

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

\[\large y = (x+4)^2(x+1)^2\]The hard part is left up to you ;)

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

try getting one what you can factorizing in this way (x+4)^2 *(x+1)^2 =0

OpenStudy (idani):

Is not a or b right lol ?

myininaya (myininaya):

hint: you can eliminate some (or most) of the options by pluggin in x=-1 and x=-4 mark out the one's that don't give a result of zero when pluggin in those numbers

OpenStudy (idani):

I probably got it wrong lol but thank you
