OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

I just need help with b

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

see attached for problem 1

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

oh okay! thank you!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

what do you get when you reduce 10:20 ?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

divide each part by the GCF

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

1:10

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

no, think of it as 10/20

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

Ohhhhhh no 1;2

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes 1:2

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

so that's the answer to 1b

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sorry, the second part of 1a

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

to get 1b, you would need to divide each value by 20 and convert to a percentage. Then you use that percentage to figure out the angle for instance There are 4 donkeys, so 4/20 = 1/5 = 0.2 = 20% now take 20% of 360 degrees to get 20% of 360 = 0.2*360 = 72 degrees so the "donkey" sector of the pie chart will have 72 degrees as the central angle

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

Thank you!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

no problem

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

http://prnt.sc/bmbs6i

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

Is that correct?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Yes you have all 3 values correct. Nice job.

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

Thank you!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

sure thing
