OpenStudy (ubie01):

esse solved a system of equations.. Find and explain the mistakes. Equation: y = 3x + 2 6x – 2y = 10

OpenStudy (ubie01):

I used matrices. The solution is (7/6, 7/2)

OpenStudy (fifciol):

you should have the variables on one side of the equation

OpenStudy (fifciol):

I mean -3x + y =2 6x - 2y = 10

OpenStudy (fifciol):

try now to calculate the determinant

OpenStudy (ubie01):

I don't know how to calculate a determinant .-. @Fifciol

OpenStudy (fifciol):

in your attachment, there is a system determinant, we need to correct. There should be -3 instead of 3. Then you'd obtain, that this determinant is 0, which means this system of equation has no solution

OpenStudy (ubie01):

Ok. Thank you!
