I used matrices. The solution is (7/6, 7/2)
you should have the variables on one side of the equation
I mean -3x + y =2 6x - 2y = 10
try now to calculate the determinant

in your attachment, there is a system determinant, we need to correct. There should be -3 instead of 3. Then you'd obtain, that this determinant is 0, which means this system of equation has no solution
