I'm re-posting this :) This is a famous probability puzzle in which you have to choose the correct answer at random from the four options below. Can you tell us whats the probability of choosing correct answer in this random manner. 1) 1/4 2) 1/2 3) 1 4) 1/4
@sammixboo @TheSmartOne @AaronAndyson @radar @imqwerty @pooja195 @ganeshie8 @goprogo501 @mayankdevnani @Mehek14
3) 1 is that the answer? :P
yee tso i think thas correct
Nope :)
aww
when you have 4 answer choices, there is a 1/4 probability there are two 1/4 answer choices which makes the probability 1/2 and there is one 1/2 answer choice which makes 1 the answer? :P
Nope :)
its D ;)
wait A and D are same
maybe this has to do something with the ques xD well since its not a multiple choice so neither A nor D is correct also 1 is not correct so i'd go with 1/2 ;)
Lol xD Nope
D:
the answer has to be E) none of the above I guess :P
Actually, yes, but there's a number TSO xD If it's none of the options, which is it?
3/4 ? :)
25%? ;p
Why am I thinking that somehow this has to do WITH the option numbers. This isn't laid out in A, B, C, D format but rather 1, 2, 3, 4.
Nope @Atsie
is the answer 0.25 ;p
LOL xD I was hoping no one saw that!
JADE, your losing your marbles! xDDD
they not choices they numbers ?
don't tell the solution rn tho! we're thinking
@Atsie they still didn't see it. oh my goodness xD
Welp, I'll just put my reply away xDD
Do you guys give up?
Why would we give up? We are the brightest of OS! We must find out!
Lol mhm, I totally believe that xD @agent0smith
Its 1/3 i believe. But thtas not an option xD
That is incorrect :)
okay so if the answer is 1/4 then it will mean that probability to choose 1/4 as the correct answer is 1/4 this is wrong because there are two 1/4s and probability of choosing 1/2 is 1/2 is also wrong because here total favorable outcomes =1 and total outcomes=3 now probability of choosing 1 can't be 1 cuz favorable outcomes =1 and total outcomes=3 and now probability of choosing 0 is 0 cuz favorable outcomes=0 and total outcomes=3 :)
So what does that mean?
wait ima make some edits in that^^
b
2)1/2
Nope :)
1)
Nope
qwerty, you got this!
3)
nope
okay so \(probability=\large\frac{total~favorable~outcomes}{total~outcomes}\) ->if the answer is 1/4 then it will mean that probability to choose 1/4 as the correct answer is 1/4 this is wrong cuz total favorable outcomes= 2 and total outcomes=3 so apply that formula and we get that probability to chose 1/4 as correct answer is 2/3 which is contradicting! ->if probability of choosing 1/2 as correct is 1/2 is also wrong because here total favorable outcomes =1 and total outcomes=3 (again contradiction) now probability of choosing 1 can't be 1 cuz favorable outcomes =1 and total outcomes=3 (again contradiction) and now probability of choosing 0 is 0 cuz favorable outcomes=0 and total outcomes=3 :)
cody, read what we've discussed already
ok
Lol qwerty, so what's your answer?
x'D 0
YES! Good job :)
wat it was 5)0?
Wowsa! I'm proud of ya Qwert. I would never have been able to nail it properly like that!
Lol xD
seriously?
ty atsie :')
;)
qwerty is a genius <3
HFH!!!
tso<33
Couldn't have said it better TSO
x'D
qwerty, will you marry me :')
LOL!!!!!!
Isn't this qwerty a guy? :O
but tso is a chich right
i mean *chic xD
No, TSO is a dude ^.^
it's alright, we can make this work ;)
HFH!LOL!!!!!
