How can you tell if a graph is the graph of a polynomial function?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

basically all graphs are functions. Is this a trick question? or do you need to prove it is not a line? or ??

OpenStudy (mathguy5):

heres the problem from my study guide. http://prntscr.com/bmu6lw

OpenStudy (triciaal):

for this particular graph.

OpenStudy (triciaal):

yes should be correct

OpenStudy (mathguy5):

Can you explain how to tell if a specific graph is of a polynomial function. Is there any trick?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

don't know if any tricks think what is a polynomial function? f(x) = x ^power and add a constant to be polynomial
