OpenStudy (sql_server):

How to cope up with the situation where everyone around you misunderstands you and hates you? Any suggestion would be of much help to me.

sammixboo (sammixboo):

well, it depends on the person. Go exercise, read, go for a run or swim, and confront yourself about these feelings. Try to put positive things in your life to make youself more understanding to YOU, and can help you feel more positive and bright. Eliminate friends that bring negativity into your life

OpenStudy (sql_server):

Thank you so much @sammixboo I will do that.

When someone misunderstands you, try to be a little more clearer about what you are saying. Also be patient with the other party. It may take time for them to understand. Also, give it some time. They might not understand right now because they're all angry and they want you to listen to them. Wait for a while and then try to explain your point of view later in a clam manner. :) Not everyone hates you. A few users might hate you, but time heals all wounds. Give it a day or a week, and they won't care much for a petty argument. The first step is in clearing this misconception that everyone hates you. If you feel that everyone is hating on you, log off for a while. Take a breather and come back to the situation with a clear mind. Remember, NO ONE on the internet should be able to make you mad, angry, or sad. Only YOU can do that yourself. You shouldn't give anyone the right to play with your emotions. Always think calmly and logically. If you think you're going to do something that you'll regret, just move away from the computer and take a deep breath and remind yourself that it isn't worth your time worrying about. You have more important stuff to worry about and more important things to accomplish in this world. Remember, you can do it!

@TheSmartOne , by everyone I meant everyone in my class and not the Open Study users.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Try to find something to bond with your classmates. Maybe you guys have a book you all like? Maybe start talking about the hw, or help them with their hw! Slowly start building a bond with them and they'll change their opinions about you. :)
