@shawn is right. You are missing an actual equation to solve. Perhaps you meant solve cos(x)(cos(x)-1)=0 ?

If so this means one of the factors or both factors has to be zero
myininaya (myininaya):
That means you just need to solve cos(x)=0 and also solve cos(x)-1=0
