OpenStudy (carla_babii98):

Germany, Austria-Hungary, and turkeys economic problems after world war 1 were compounded by A) Civil and military upheaval and rebellion B) development of new alliances in Africa C) harsh embargos on raw materials like metal D) requirements to pay reparations to the allies

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so i think may be the last one choice D.

OpenStudy (crashonce):

After the first world war, the axis (germany, austria-hungary, turkey) had their militarial forces disbanded and reformed at significantly smaller numbers. Turkey had a rebellion, where the sultan was deposed by Ataturk. Such was not really the case in the other to so I doubt A. In terms of B, Italy was very imperialistic in africa in this time, but again, not the three. Embargoes were imposed on all of the countries but these were not as harsh as those implicated on Nazi Germany after the second world war and these could not have really been the causes of severe economic problems. That brings us to D. At the Paris Peace Conference, Germany paid 33 billion (US) in reparations but as far Austria and Turkey go, they paid no reparataions at all. D is not the answer. The answers are a bit strange but I would probably think C -CO
