OpenStudy (kohai):

I can't seem to get a straight story here.

OpenStudy (kohai):

My account was registered to an email I hadn't used to in years. I asked OS FB and they said to remake my account and email support. No one ever answers support, but I figured I'd give it a shot. As suspected, no one answered. I was told that people were getting their smart scores returned to them. So I messaged Preetha, who never responded. When she came into mathematics I asked her directly and she told me there was no way to return the smart scores. However, several ambassadors told me that this was untrue. Then I noticed this. I've answered over 2,000 questions, and my trophy room lists out all the medals my (previous) kohai account had, but the system doesn't seem to recognize it and dropped my smart score. Someone, please, for the love of god, give me a straight answer.

Mehek (mehek14):

Satellite got deleted as well, but his score went back to 100. . .

OpenStudy (a_burning_masquerade):

Apparently no one uses the support email cause I tried to contact the support email yesterday about why I was suspended and I figured it out a little while later. Still have no response. No one told me that smart scores will return back to normal and I had a smart score of 70 when the Openstudy purge happened. I asked everyone and someone told me to just work at bringing it up again. I found out about 5-6 weeks ago that people gained back their smart scores yet I still got knocked down 17 points. Even though everything was still the same regarding medals and fans and everything. This is just my experience.

Zeronknight (zeronknight):

@Mehek14 I think that was only because he was the only one with 100ss (still is) because he has the most medals etc. I assume you know why. And when the reset happened. His SS went down...allot. @A_Burning_Masquerade I believe resets were for large SS gaps (At least I've heard). Your gap was 10 ss gap, I'm pretty sure you could get that back quickly. I'm really not sure anymore actually, since the brainly buyout, I'm not sure if she has the access to do that.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

I'll be the first honest ambassador then. Returning smartscores for deleted users isn't a priority at the moment. Many users have gotten deleted, and they're SmartSscore was not restored. Only Satellite73's SmartScore was restored. This tells us that it is possible to have your SmartScore restored but they're not interested. You'll just have to be patient. :b

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

Well Preetha is really busy currently and i am sorry for all the trouble you were caused D: A lot of users got their accounts deleted due to inactivity and etc but restoring it is possible but like @TheSmartOne not really a priority right now but definitly later on :D

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Also, I doubt Preetha made the call to delete users. Also, @A_Burning_Masquerade , your SmartScore went down because a bunch of users were deleted and SmartScore is a system that is relative on people's points, and a lot of low SS users were deleted so that made everyone's SS go down by a bit. 99ers didn't go down becuase our SS is like getting 99SS five times over (I used mine as an example). :b

OpenStudy (peachpi):

You may want to see Preetha's response when I asked a similar question. http://openstudy.com/users/peachpi#/updates/576146d7e4b004f3d849ac36

Zeronknight (zeronknight):

@TheSmartOne ? Wasn't Batman's SS restored also?

OpenStudy (a_burning_masquerade):

I had a smart score of 70 when the purge happened and I went all the way down to 53. So if my math is correct I'm pretty sure 70 - 53 = 17

OpenStudy (a_burning_masquerade):

@Zeronknight

Mehek (mehek14):

Batman's ss wasn't restored.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

@iambatman doesn't care about his SS and told them not to bother with restoring it :P

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

@A_Burning_Masquerade Your SmartScore was never over 61. And it dropped to 57. http://prntscr.com/borj07 And going down from 61 to 57 is not that big of a deal since it's easy to get a smartscore of 61. The higher your SS the lower it would drop.

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

tsk tsk

OpenStudy (iambatman):

Haha, well I've changed my mind quite a bit about this, but yeah I don't really care at the same time it still sucks since all your achievements are gone, but only reason I don't care is because the experience I've had is what matters to me more than my SS :p. But just because I say that, it should not be a reason to not fix my account or anyone else's, since it just makes OS look bad.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

kohai: "I can't seem to get a straight story here." That's because you are looking for stories. *shakes head* Anyways, you'd have though that with Brainly's funding, OS would have a better user support. They should have at least hired someone to read the emails sent to them. That would have prevented your problem.

OpenStudy (kohai):

I started back over from 0. It's frustrating that I've spent a lot of time here over the last 5 years and I'm basically told oh well start over lol. Like I have time for that. There's a difference between a user being inactive and an email being inactive but whatever

OpenStudy (spongebob.):

simple story-rip

OpenStudy (wit):

I'll give you a straight story: Once upon a time, a boy was born. He grew up and married a young woman. There you go. You're welcome.

OpenStudy (shadowlegendx):

I kicked support in the balls in front of his gfs face and he still did nothing

OpenStudy (spongebob.):

His gf gave him the nick 'bruh'
