OpenStudy (yumyum247):

when the car value goes down by time, what type of function do we call that??? exponential depreciation or decline?? halp

OpenStudy (sepeario):

I'm not too sure with your given information.. Depreciation can be linear, in addition to being exponential

OpenStudy (carrionbeast):

When a car loses value it is called depreciation.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Exponential depreciation, decline, decay, should all be fine. I don't think it matters much.

OpenStudy (mathmate):

When the appreciation/depreciation is exponential, we usually call the change exponential growth/decay. As @agent0smith mentioned, decline, decay, depreciation all mean going down in value, and should all be understandable.
