OpenStudy (kimklozer123):

In a representative democracy citizens elect leaders who make decisions on their behalf. this make sense but i dont know the other three direct democracy

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

do u still need help?

OpenStudy (austinl):

The idea of democracy means different things to different people. In Ancient Athens, everyone got a chance to vote. Not for president, but to vote on everything that happened. In Ancient Rome and in the modern United States we have a republic of elected officials who vote on our behalf. In countries like Switzerland there are elected officials, but people have to power to even propose changes to the constitution. If you need a more detailed response can you please give more information about the question and the class you are taking?
