OpenStudy (billandmandy1543):

John is jogging on a winter day. The outdoors temperature is 31 degrees F. Yet, his body temperature is 98 degrees F. What term best describes the process causing this difference in temperature? a) homeostasis b) pathophysiology c) fever d) hyperthyroidism

OpenStudy (jayant):

a) homeostasis, i guess..only if he doesn't have any parasitic infection or your are talking about core temperature.

OpenStudy (abbyrose0105):

homeostasis is the process of heat regulation in our body. When it is cold out, homeostasis causes the body to shiver to warm the muscles. When it is hot out the body sweats which will evaporate and cool the body down.
