Even if its a day after the 4th, I can still celebrate. :)
Please tell me your thoughts and critiques! ^_^

SMOKEY SKIES

Bright
these spectacles
upon particles
in red, white
beside patriotic blue
lining the leaves
between the trees
celebrating we the country
as folks independently.

Loud
the smashes
colorful contrast it
that the skies
may blush beautiful
as its own firework so
happy in American inevitable
celebrating freedom of birth,
celebrating everything we're worth.

5 AM
dawn hesitates
as it waits
for the dim
to subside soon
Nightly blinks
upon halting winks
till everything quits
in lovely smokey bits.

Smell the unnatural
fog air
For guarantee, this night
only comes once a year.
