Hello! I am current studying for my SAT in the fall I am studying math concepts from my last three years It's a lot and I don't remember everything, could you please help me with rationals and irrationals? How do I solve these?

Supposedly, a rational is a number that can be turned into a ratio which I knw how to do but beyond that I don't, please give me a minute to find examples

Hahaha it is fine. It's a pretty old concept but I struggle to know how to add or subtract them or anything other than convert them. Don't worry about it! :)

Okay I got the adding down. It's basically the same as working fractions. For those who might look at this question in the future, looking for help. Here is how you add them: suppose you have 2x/4 + x/8 You would simply find the Least Common Denominators and add fraction sas usual. In this case the least common denominator is 8 and you would need to multiple both the top and bottom by 2. which gives you 4x/8 + x/8 which is 5x/8
Subtraction! For the subtraction it is the same process!
