So, cube is the same kind of operation as squared but the power is different.
A number (x) squared = x * x or x^2
A number (y) cubed = y * y * y or y^3
OpenStudy (acespeedfighter):
i know that one but the rest i have trouble
OpenStudy (luffingsails):
Oh, great.
A lot of it is just changing words to math operations.
"The Quotient of a number and 3"
Quotient means divide. So it is same as saying x/3
OpenStudy (luffingsails):
Product of an unknown value and 3
Product means multiply. So it is the same as saying x * 3
OpenStudy (luffingsails):
Less than means subtraction
So, "3 less than a variable" means x - 3
