Can someone explain how to choose the correct graph? http://prntscr.com/bqk2vj

im sorry i dont know

OpenStudy (mathmate):

@mathguy5 Easiest way to go about this type of question is to assume values of x, one value for each case (>0 or <0). Say you choose to find +5 and -5. So According to the definition of f(x), f(x)=-x if x>0, so f(5)=-5 and f(x)=x if x<0, so f(-5)=-5 Now look at the graphs to see which one satisfies both f(5)=-5 and f(-5)=-5 and make your choice accordingly.

Thank you very much.
