Energy is measured by calories. 1g of fat is equal to 9 calories. 1g of carbs is equal to 4 calories. and 1g of protein is equal to 4 calories. all you have to do is multiply the given number by it's amount in calories and you'll have the answer. For example: 447.3g of fat x9=4,025.7 since your professor wants the answer rounded, you would round up to 4,030.
