Can anyone explain how answer A was gotten. I know they just flipped the graph, but why? http://prntscr.com/bqrq0l

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

If you have \(-f(x)\), then the original function, \(f(x)\), will be flipped over the x-axis. On the other hand, if you had \(f(-x)\), then the original function. \(f(x)\), will be flipped over the y-axis.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

In this case, you have \(g(x) = -f(x)\), therefore the function \(f(x)\), is flipped over the x-axis.
