1) \[\large \bf \frac{x^2+y^3}{2+x}\]
plug x=6 and y=2,we get
\[\large \bf \frac{36+8}{2+6}\]
OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
can you further solve it ?

44
OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
correct
OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):
so 44/8?
OpenStudy (_citrus_):
For the first one it's pretty simple :)
\[ \frac{ 6^2 +2^3 }{ 2+6 } \]
6 to the power of 2 is 36 because 6 * 6= 36
2 to the power of three is 8 because 2*2=4 and 4*2=8
Add the bottom which gives you 8 and then add the top gives you 44
simplify it
\[\frac{ 44 }{ 8 } = \frac{ 11 }{ 2 }\]
Turn the fraction to a decimal and you get 5.5 that's your answer for the first one
