Find the point that splits segment EF in half. Point E is located at (5, −2) and point F is located at(−1, 3). (1 point) (1.5, 1) (2, 0.5) (3.5, 4.5) (3, −2.5)
@zepdrix
@phi
Do you know the midpoint formula?
i just need the anwser and no i dont
Add the x values and divide by 2, add the y values and divide by 2. That will give you the midpoint.
(2,1/2)
whats that?
use your way jade
find the average of the two x values and ditto for the y values they will be the (x,y) coords of the mid-point
Actually, that is the way, I didn't understand how the person worded it \[(\frac{ x _{1}+x _{2} }{ 2 } , \frac{ y _{1} + y _{2}}{ 2 })\]
oh ok
^
Then you solve from there, so @luffingsails did have it correct :)
When some one says, "I just need the answer" it didn't seem to make sense to add anything but the answer.
ya i know
but instead they tell me what to do
Yeah, because you can get people in trouble when you ask for direct answers. It's against the Code of Conduct for Openstudy. Rather than giving the direct answer for your question, we have to help you find the answer. Hence the "Openstudy" no "Openanswer"
oh lol i was wondering why'd luff put this 1/2 better to put 0.5 lol
well they should change the could
Or, perhaps, a hint of advice, change your attitude about the code. If you don't like the way it's done on Openstudy, maybe you shouldn't use it :)
