The second part is definitely $62.50 per month. Since the the problem gives you the amount in four months just divide by 4 to get a one month period.

The difference is that they are talking unit measure. Which usually has a magnitude of 1... in the case of the $125 every *2* months... you can see that it isn't a unit measure. A unit measure would be 1 month.
