Find the volume of the composite figure below. Leave your answer in terms of π.http://cdn.activelms.com/data/042c73b1-ddf5-4fd6-91e7-6c8434228f3d/Geometry%20Images/unit%2011-4%20q6.png A. 250π ft3 B. 62.5π ft3 C. 187.5π ft3 D. 312.5π ft3

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

It's 3/4th of a cylinder. The cylinder volume formula is \(V = \pi r^2h\) and then multiply it by 3/4 since the composite figure is 3/4th of a full cylinder and leave pi as pi because the final answer has pi in it

OpenStudy (ellamoyseyuk):

V = pi(5)^2(10) = 250 pi 250 pi x 3/4 = 187.5 pi ft^3

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Correct! :D

OpenStudy (ellamoyseyuk):

thanks

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Anytime! :)
