If parallelogram EFGH is translated according to the same rule that translated triangle ABC, what is the ordered pair of point H'? (4 points) (7, -4) (-5, 6) (6, -5) (-4, 7)

OpenStudy (alecwilson):

have no idea how to Start this!

OpenStudy (supersmart1001):

First, find the rule that translated triangle ABC. Look at the image. The point A was (-3,6); the point A' is (1,4). As -7+8=1, 6-2=4, now we find that the rule that translated triangle ABC is (x+8, y-2). We can use this rule to find B' or C' to see if it is correct. Point B is (-5,3); -5+8=3, 3-2=1, thus B' is (3,1). The rule is correct. So now it is easily to locate the point H'. -7+8=1, -5-2=-7. H' is (1, -7).

thank you, but 1,-7 doesn't seem to be in any of the answers :o @supersmart1001
