28. Peter drove 300 miles in 5 hours. Jane drove 400 miles in 8 hours. Who drove at a higher speed? A. Peter B. Jane @jim_thompson5910

OpenStudy (anwaarullah):

work(distance)= time* speed try

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

ok, what is "work"

OpenStudy (anwaarullah):

here driving is kinda work

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

If you rearrange the formula Anwaarullah gave you, you get: Speed = Distance/Time Use that formula to fidn the speed of both people.

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

Oh okay! 300/5 = 60 ---- for Peter 400/8 = 50 ---- for Jane

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

Correct? And if so, is the answer Peter?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Correct! :D

OpenStudy (x__hazel__x):

Thank you!
