OpenStudy (mylifeasgigi123):

What does it mean to Take a Stand?

OpenStudy (captainbell):

To take a stand is like to hold your ground against something your are oppose to or resist something you don't agree with. A sentence example would be like : Sally is taking a stand against the unequal pay gap that women suffer on a day to day basis.

OpenStudy (captainbell):

Well did they protest against it?

OpenStudy (captainbell):

In a symbolic sense they did take a stance. Because they had continued to get their education that was initially a racially segregated school.

OpenStudy (captainbell):

They did because no matter what hardship they faced they still stood their ground against the people that opposed them. Also you are very welcome ^^

OpenStudy (mylifeasgigi123):

@CaptainBell Thank you so much! :)

OpenStudy (captainbell):

Your Welcome ^.^
