World War ll was not a continuation of World War l, because there was different reasons behind why they were. World War l started because of the assassination of Francis Ferdinand of Austria- Hungary, but also the factor of nationalism. After World War l, was the beginning of World War ll, which started because of the bombing of the military base in the island of Oahu or Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

There was also a time difference but that doesn't mean much, but during those 11 years things were not all resolved from the first war and other matters appeared so then became reason for a second World War. So in a nutshell World War ll was not a continuation of World War l.
