Hitchhiker's Thumb is a recessive trait. What is the genotype for someone without Hitchhiker's Thumb? EE only ee Ee only EE or Ee
maybe d? what do you think?
I think it's Ee
I thinks it's the last answer, EE or Ee because if the trait is recesseive, then it can only be achieved if both parents gave one allele to the child. In this case it would be ee or EE. Now, to distingusih wether EE or ee, see the options. A person without the trait could be homocygote for not having the disease (EE or ee in this case) or he could be heterocygote for having one mutation allel (Ee or eE in this case).
@buttermequeasy are you there?
It has to be EE or Ee. Both of these genotypes would represent a phenotype of someone without Hitchhiker's Thumb. This is because HitchHiker's thumb is represented by the recessive allele e. If someone were to have HitchHiker's thumb they would have the genotype ee.
it would be Ee or EE :)
