OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Nucleic acids have a phosphate group as well as a nitrogenous base. From what the question describes i don't think that it would be nucleic acids.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Proteins are made of amino acids. Realize that Amino acids have a central carbon with a connected hydrogen as well as a connected carboxyl group. Amino acids have an amino group and an R group side chain off the central carbon.
