OpenStudy (samirahdanyel):

What value of x will make the triangles similar by the SSS similarity theorem? 15.9 59 77 96.8

OpenStudy (samirahdanyel):

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

using proportionality of corresponding sides get 20/35 = 44/x and solve for x hope helped

OpenStudy (naturedpk):

In order to make them proportional you can multiply all of the smaller triangle by 44 and then multiply the bigger one by 20, now you have the same triangle and you have the size of the final side.

OpenStudy (naturedpk):

Now to return to your original side just divide by what you multiplied by to get there in the case of the bigger triangle it would be 20 and that would leave you with your answer of 77.
