Hello. Please help me. :( 4. Water at 30°C is contained in an open cylindrical tank with an inside diameter of 2.5 m. The distance between the water level and the top of the tank is maintained at 100 mm. Dry air is continuously blown across the top of the tank. The diffusivity of water in air at 30°C and 1 atm is 0.26 cm2/s. Calculate the rate of evaporation of water.

OpenStudy (phi):

It sounds like you should find the area of the top. I would change the diameter 2.5 meters into cm: 250 cm then find the radius, which is half of the diameter: 250/2= 125 cm now use A= pi r^2 finally, multiply that by 0.26 (this last step is a guess)

OpenStudy (acespeedfighter):

Well how will that help?

OpenStudy (acespeedfighter):

Hm
