OpenStudy (thickgirl_angel):

he football team has 30 more members than the basketball teams. If each group had 10 more members, the ratio of their membership would be 3:2. How many members are in each group? Write your answer as football x basketball y

OpenStudy (dramaqueen1201):

The ratio of F:B is 3:2. Looking at the ratio, it's sum is 5 and difference is 1. The difference is equivalent to 30 (since you added 10 members to each team, it doesn't change.) so the 3(F) would be equivalent to 90 and the 2(B) would be 60 but now you have to subtract the 10 members you added to each team so I think it will be 80 for the Football team and 50 for the Basketball. I might be wrong tho, I apologise if I am.
