The answer is supposed to be (A) which is 4 but I'm getting -4 when i do the calculations.

what i did was differentiate with respect to x and y separately, so i got dz/dx = z^2 and dz/dy = -5z then i put the z = 1 and i got dz/dx + dz/dy = -5 where did i go wrong?
